Collaborative Workshop Tour Night

A select number of Milwaukee’s regional 20+ co-working and maker space laboratories will host tours throughout the same evening encouraging cross promotion of each unique environment’s offerings and hands-on experiences for event participants. In addition, Bucketworks, one of the original co-working spaces in the state and country, will be hosting its 10th Anniversary Party. All guests of the tour are welcome to attend the free event that will include live music, art and showcase the last 10 years of Bucketworks’ innovation factory.

Art Milwaukee

ART Milwaukee President Jeremy Fojut will take you on a tour of the gallery space and explain the collaborative working environment.

Housed in Grand Avenue Mall, OPEN MiKE is a physical and virtual coworking space that promotes open source entrepreneurship. A former Express clothing store, the nearly 7,000-square foot space has been converted into a vibrant center for entrepreneurs and freelancers to mingle with business leaders and the community. OPEN MiKE runs a free membership program and hosts events every day, including board meetings, workshops, networking events, and the occasional DJ dance party.

A health club for the brain with a focus on improving education, community engagement and well-being. Celebrating its 10th year, Bucketworks will host tours of the 27,000-square foot space given by founder James Carlson and director Tim Syth with stops at the puppet shop, beehives, coworking loft, soap shop and everything in between. And they will share a community’s vision of one of the nation’s longest-running collaborative spaces!

FLUX Design

Flux Design is a custom design/build firm where everything is designed and built in one spot. Its president and creative director Jeremy Shamrowicz will lead you on a tour of the eclectic studios and facilities while giving a history of how this creative space came to be.

Johnson Controls

Come visit Johnson Controls’ newest addition, the Third Ward Innovation Center. Opening in May, the Innovation Center is where Johnson Controls teams step out of their everyday routines to explore new business opportunities. They join together in this highly collaborative environment to bring new products and services to market so that Johnson Controls can continue to Exceed Our Customers’ Increasing Expectations.

Visit Discovery World – Milwaukee’s Premiere Center for Public Innovation and experience green screen technology, screen printing, laser cutting, rapid prototyping machines, and sample tasting in the MillerCoors Thirst Lab.

HUDSON has embraced the New Work style of Mobile Workers. They offer an affordable and inspiring business hub to members on a month-to-month basis. Included are all key business amenities required to connect professionals with each other and the essential business resources that are needed.
